The painting Girl with a Pearl Earring was the basis of a book and then a film featuring Scarlett Johansson.
DINA IS a combination of the two: the adolescent servant girl painted by Dutch master Vermeer and the teenage movie star with her crimson lips and shy, inquisitive eyes. Dina sees the future opening before her like an enormous Pandora's Box. She came to see Petter during his tour of Latvia and when he told her modeling for Hegre-Art required total commitment - and total nudity, she decided to go away and think about it.
Petter assumed he would never see her again. He got the surprise of his life when she returned next day. If you are going to do something, she explained, you have to do it properly. Petter appreciated her modesty and allowed Dina to slip into nudity one slow shot at a time.
Dina believes you should try everything once in order to discover what you're best at.
